Course Objectives
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Do basic upkeep of equipment, resulting in lower downtime and costs
Know how to do regular equipment servicing and maintenance and identify faults
Know step-by-step procedures for rectifying different types of faults

1. Identify electrical equipment and their pre-operational checks and inspections
2. List standard equipment functions and operating principles
3. Determine equipment faults using appropriate techniques
4. Identify testing procedures using correct techniques, tools, and equipment
5. Identify normal operating parameters and deviations if any
6. Determine steps for readying tools and equipment for operations
Minimum Entry Requirement
Able to read, write and speak in English (WLPN Level 3 and above)
Min 21 years old
Primary school level onwards education
Skills and knowledge of the F & B domain across industries
No prior experience is required
Learners who do not meet the MER may be considered through interviews on a case-by-case basis.
Who should attend
Progressive Wage Model (PWM) Roles - Food/Drink Stall Assistant and Food Services Counter Attendant, Kitchen Assistant / Cook / Senior Cook.
Other Roles: Waiter, Food and Beverage Service Staff, Restaurant Managers, Chefs and Cooks, Catering Staff, Food Safety and Hygiene Inspectors.
