Manual Brewing

Course Objectives

To enable participants to gain hands-on experience on 4 types of brewing methods with 2 different types of coffee beans.

Methods of Learning

This programme will comprise a combination of demonstration, show & tell and hands-on practice

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session learner will be able to:

  • Demonstrate how to brew 4 types of brewing methods - Siphon, Moka Pot, V60 Filter and Chemex
  • Explain how to use each individual type of apparatus and equipment
  • Know the proper techniques for grinding coffee and water temperature in order to achieve optimal extraction
  • Complete a worksheet on how to individually use each apparatus appropriately, including the proper measurements of water and amount of grinds needed
