Overview

The Workplace Safety and Health Control Measures (Risk Management) provides regulations for employer, self-employed persons and principals to conduct a risk assessment in relation to organisational workplace safety and health. It is in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) regulations and Code of Practice on Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management), 3rd Revision 2021.

Course Outline

The main objective of the course is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to be a RM Team Leader/Risk Management Champion for the organization in reducing risks at source by managing the risk management process at the workplace. It involves developing a practical risk management implementation plan for the organisation which identifies specific actions to be taken, by whom and time for their completion.

It also entails:

Formation of risk management team

Risk assessment

Controlling and monitoring the risks

Communicating these risks to all persons involved

In compliance with the Risk Management Code of Practice

Learning Outcome

Learners will identify WSH Act and Regulations for Risk Assessment, confirm stakeholder expectations for a risk management champion, and establish a team based on organizational WSH policy. They'll develop a risk assessment methodology, conduct evaluations, and propose workplace risk controls. Learners will create a risk management plan, and communicate hazard identification, risk evaluation, and control measures effectively.

Minimum Entry Requirement

Participants should have a minimum: - GCE N Level pass in English (Grade 1 to 5) or equivalent, or - ES WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6 or equivalent, and where applicable - GCE N Level pass in Mathematics (Grade 1 to 5) or - ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 6 or equivalent - Participants who do not meet the above requirements will be required to go through a short interview.

 

 

 

Who Should attend

This course target Management, Health and safety personnel, Line supervisors, Team leaders and who are able to be a Risk management champion for the organisation in preparing a risk management plan to meet the requirements of risk management code of practice and for recognition of bizSAFE level 2 by Workplace Safety and Health Council.

Certification

WSQ Statement of Attainment in “Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan” (bizSAFE Level 2) will be awarded to Successful candidates.
