Overview

Coffee and tea is one of the most traded commodities in the world. They are grown in over 50 countries throughout the world. Many economies are dependent on coffee and tea as revenue generators bringing billions of dollars for the F&B companies and establishments. Almost every F&B establishment has both coffee and tea in their menu. For a food and beverage operator, it is essential to acquire both knowledge and skills on how to prepare and serve coffee and tea. While to the average person, preparing and serving these beverages seem a simple task, it is in fact rather complex and requires a good deal of practice. In this programme, participants will learn how to assemble equipment and ingredients for serving coffee and tea service in a variety of hospitality settings.

 

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit, the leaner will be able to carry out the required task with competency in using the knowledge and skills acquire which include assemble equipment and ingredients for coffee & tea service, brew coffee, brew tea and serve coffee & tea

    Practical activities including role plays, demonstrations and practical performance

    Mutual sharing and feedback.
