This unit will teach learners how to prepare a variety of cafe style breads using the correct methods and techniques for quality breads. If you are fans of carbs, then bake fresh breads just like the ones you get in cafes. Crusty on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside.
Mini lectures with presentations to explain concepts and theories Practical activities including demonstrations, hands-on practice and observation Mutual sharing, discussion and feedback.
On completion of this unit, learners shall be able to apply the following at the workplace: Assemble baking tools and equipment Prepare ingredients for bread making Prepare fillings and glazes /icing/dustings Prepare, shape, insert fillings and proof dough Bake or deep fry dough Glaze/ice/dusts, cool and store café-style bread products Reinstate work station in accordance with organisational procedures, food and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
