Course Overview

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications System for Food and Beverage (WSQ Food and Beverage) is a nationally recognised modular training system designed for adults who wish to join or progress in this industry.

 

Course Information

The WSQ Certificate in Culinary Arts is a 19 days course that prepares candidates for jobs in the culinary scene. During this course, participants will learn about the fundamental culinary skills and follow a safe and hygienic working practice of kitchen brigade. They will be trained in various hands-on activities in a simulated kitchen setup. Participants will have to complete and be competent in all 7 units.

 

Course Objectives

This course aims to equip participants with the basic skills of food preparation in the culinary scene.

 

Entry Requirement

    Be able to speak, read and write English or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy level 4

    18 years old and above (Singaporean male candidates must have completed or are exempted from National Service)

 

Certification

Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements will be awarded with the WSQ Certificate in Culinary Arts awarded by SSG.
