Sauces can turn a regular dish into something awesome. From salad dressings to dips, sauces can make or break a dish. Sauces enhance the flavour and texture of a dish and add visual appeal. This unit will teach learners the finer points in preparing Western cold sauces.
Mini lectures with presentations to explain concepts and theories Practical activities including demonstrations, hands-on practice and observation Mutual sharing, discussion and feedback.
On completion of this unit, learners will have the knowledge and skills to: Prepare emulsified sauces Prepare vegetable, fruit and/or herb based sauce Use western cold sauces
Kitchen crew, kitchen assistant, counter crew and anyone who is keen to learn how to prepare Western cold sauces.
