Prepare Healthy Breakfast

Overview

1-day short programme to introduce breakfast dishes that are healthy and full of nutrients yet easy to prepare.

Breakfast dishes to be taught have been taken from various Health Promotion Board (HPB) recipes and are suitable for all ages, especially for the elderly and those who have difficulty in chewing or swallowing solids.  

Participants will also be introduced to basic food nutrients and their functions based on Health Promotion Board (HPB) Healthy Plate guide to healthy eating.  

Course Objective

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

Understand the functions of nutrients found in the 5 major food groups from Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) healthy plate

Use recommended ingredients to prepare healthy breakfast that are suitable for the elderly and for those who have difficulty chewing or swallowing solid foods.

          Cheese and Vegetable Omelette

Canteen operators for schools and other institutions

Food and Nutrition teachers from secondary schools, tertiary institutions and special schools offering culinary arts programmes to students  

Delivery Methodology

The programme will be delivered through lectures, show & tell, demonstration and hands-on practise.

Award and Certification

At the end of the programme, participants will be awarded with a certificate of attendance issued by Eduquest International Institute.
